Waterside Training Ltd provides Technical Training and Apprentice Management for manufacturing companies. We are a joint venture between St Helens College and Pilkington NSG Ltd. I joined Waterside in April 2010 as General Manager with the objective of growing the sales of both sides of the business.
Having discussed options with a number of consultants we spoke with Tetra Marketing, who visited us and interviewed our team to understand our issues. Tetra then developed a marketing plan for us which involved rebranding our business, producing new literature and designing a new website. This has become our blueprint this year as we look to become more structured in our approach to sales.
The work we have done is beginning to show through to our sales intake, as our new literature is being well received in the market place. Our first quarter invoiced sales performance this year has outstripped last year by 20% with sales orders 45% higher than at the same point last year.

"In 2009 Tetra Marketing were awarded a contract to assist St Helens Chamber in the delivery of the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) development programme for businesses located in the borough. Historically Starbank has enjoyed consistent growth in excess of 20% year on year for over 20 years. All of this changed with the banking crisis at the end of 2008 and the subsequent economic downturn. As with most businesses in our sector we found ourselves having to work much harder to generate new business but soon realised we didn’t have the marketing tools to do this.
In January 2010 we were introduced to Alex Cairns and Tetra Marketing via St Helens Chamber. Initially Alex prepared a document outlining a Marketing Strategy specifically tailored to the needs of the business and our objectives, something we had never had before. The marketing plan set out a schedule for developing all the marketing tools that a business striving for growth in a competitive market needs.
We committed ourselves to this marketing plan and Tetra have driven this plan forward over the course of the last 12-18 months, developing new branding, a new website, several product brochures, press releases, email marketing campaigns and case studies. "As part of a large multi-national group (Titan Europe), Titan Distribution UK was frequently forgotten and lost within the corporate marketing machine. With a different product range and sales strategy to the rest of the group, the umbrella-style branding and marketing approach was not working for Titan Distribution and was proving to be ineffective in getting our message to market.

Home Survey Reports Limited
Home Survey Reports employed Tetra Marketing in July 2009 to help to promote a new commercial survey report division.
